Leadership Moments: Turning Points that Changed Lives and Organizations

Leadership Moments is about putting leadership to work in the trenches of organizational life with heart and integrity. Each of the ten contributing authors took that leap of faith, despite personal risks and odds that defied success. Every situation in this book represents a unique turning point, best described as a “Leadership Moment.”

For example, Peter and Monika Ressler dared to speak of spirituality amid Wall Street's culture of greed, while Jon Corey's lessons in corporate survival were gained on a Vietnam battlefield. Peter Amato recognized the need to reawaken the dignity of his own spirit during a personal time of trial. Marty Boyle exhibited courage to do the right thing, regardless of the personal consequences, while Arthur Jue learned powerful lessons when IBM unexpectedly slashed thousands of jobs.

As the contributors found from personal experience, leadership emerges when we trust ourselves, tap into inner wisdom, maintain our integrity, and always aim for the highest good.

Each of the authors acted with courage and character in transforming their workplaces and themselves. They relate spellbinding stories of “turning points” that reinforce the nature and meaning of leadership, support ethical and moral values, promote positive workplace interaction, inspire change, and encourage high performing teams.
